The Master of Education in Educational Technology & Innovation is a revolutionary program that prepares graduate students to lead innovation in the use of instructional technology in education and professional business. The program is designed to develop educators and other professionals into technology leaders and advocates.
This program is for licensed K-12 teachers interested in furthering their skills in technology and/or advancing their careers.
This program will offer candidates the opportunity to develop the skills and behaviors demonstrated by innovative educational leaders. An enhanced understanding of teaching and learning in a digital and global world will transform the candidates’ skills in embedding technology into their design and facilitating rich and meaningful instruction.
For experienced teachers who hold a teaching certificate and who wish to earn a first Master’s degree in education (Rank II) and Instructional Computer Technology Endorsement.
The Educational Technology for Teachers M. Ed. degree focuses on technology- integrated instruction and assessment that emphasizes high-quality lesson design, critical inquiry, and building a community of learners. Studies will include a critical analysis of current and future technologies to enhance learning in the K-12 classroom through application, research, and data analysis.
The program prepares students to design, facilitate, manage, and evaluate digital instruction in online, hybrid, and remote settings — the fastest growing segments of education and training in the 21st century.
The Master of Arts in Education, Multiple Intelligences Theory Concentration focuses on the application of multiple intelligences theory and the arts in traditional and inclusive classrooms as a means to engage students. Candidates will learn to differentiate instruction and assessments through the lens of multiple intelligences theory and application of the arts.
The Master of Arts in Instructional Technology program focuses on the ability of the candidate to understand the networked learner (student and teacher) in a 21st century classroom/setting and to align instruction with the needs of each student using ISTE, Common Core, and content standards. The focus of the program is to develop candidates’ capacities to use social media as a platform to engage learners and teachers in connecting authentically to a network of learners/teachers and classrooms/settings globally.
This program is designed to meet the needs of instructional designers, e-learning developers, and trainers in corporate, higher education, non-profit, and government organizations. Through applied research and hands-on design, the IDT program contributes to the improvement of instructional methodologies and the design and implementation of learning innovations and environments.
The Educational Technology Program is intended to prepare educators with the competencies required to improve the quality and effectiveness of instructional programs.
The program is constructed for teachers who teach in a traditional face-to-face classroom and/or a 1:1 environment, and desire to develop theoretical and practical understandings of educational technologies within curricular, instructional, and assessment frameworks.
