What You Learn
Skills and strategies to apply effective behavior management techniques and differentiated instruction strategies to reach every student in the classroom and help them achieve their fullest potential. Our program explores behavior management, inclusive instructional methods and assessment techniques to teach you how to successfully create and lead an inclusive K–12 classroom. You will learn how to create effective differentiated instructional strategies for students with mild to moderate learning, cognitive, mental and physical disabilities.
How You Learn
This is an online cohort. You will check in online to complete assignments and participate in online discussions and group activities. You will finish one 3 credit course every 8 weeks.
Career Outcomes
You can further expand your career opportunities to include a wide variety of positions in the school system, or move into the private sector with community based opportunities working with students with special needs.

In addition to the 30-hour M.Ed. in Special Education program, you can complete additional coursework to meet Nebraska requirements for a K–6 endorsement, 7–12 endorsement or K–12 endorsement. The K–6 and 7–12 endorsements are 42 credit hours each, and the K–12 endorsement consists of 51 credit hours.
