This program is designed for licensed educators who want to add a K–12 Special Education endorsement and expand their ability to support students with diverse learning needs across grade levels.
What You Learn
In this program, you will develop skills in assessment, individualized education planning, and evidence-based instructional strategies for students with disabilities. Coursework focuses on supporting diverse learners in inclusive and specialized settings while collaborating with families, educators, and support teams.
How You Learn
The program is delivered entirely online in an asynchronous format, allowing students to complete coursework on their own schedule while meeting weekly deadlines. Students are encouraged to log into their portal regularly throughout each week to stay current on assignments, announcements, and communication with instructors and classmates. Courses are typically completed one at a time in 8-week terms, though alternative scheduling options may be available.
Career Outcomes
Graduates are prepared to teach Special Education across K–12 settings and support students with a range of learning needs. This endorsement expands opportunities within schools and specialized education programs.
