When teachers learn effective responses to student trauma, and how to help instill resiliency skills necessary to thrive in the classroom, children have better learning outcomes – in school and in life.
For the experienced teacher looking to understand and implement research about social emotional development as an overarching premise of the educational process, rather than something added to an already demanding PreK-12 curriculum.
The program will allow students to take the traditional core courses in our MA Curriculum & Instruction as well as taking a suite of three electives focused on how best to support students experiencing trauma and how to cultivate school communities of resilience.
