Financial Aid & Payment Options
Determine how you plan to pay for the program: Financial Aid or Pay-As-You-Go.
If using Financial Aid, Complete the FAFSA online. It is in your best interest to complete the financial aid process as early as possible.

Official Transcripts
Applicants for Doctoral and Educational Specialist programs must submit an official transcript from the institution where the master’s degree was conferred. Additional official graduate transcripts may be required to verify program-specific prerequisite coursework.
Note: Students may be registered for one semester while awaiting the official transcript showing degree conferral. A registration hold will prevent enrollment in subsequent terms until the transcript is received and verified.
License Upload
Proof of a current North Carolina principal’s license or the equivalent is required for admission to the Educational Specialist in Educational Leadership or Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership. Proof of a current North Carolina teaching license or commensurate experience is required for admission to the Educational Specialist in Curriculum & Instruction or Doctor of Education in Curriculum & Instruction. You must have a minimum of three years of experience in the education field, preferably in administration. Please attach a copy of your educator license by clicking the button to the right, or fax or mail a copy to the number or address below.
Three Professional Reference Forms
At least one reference must be completed by someone at the central office level. Personal references are not accepted.
Essay
Please submit a personal essay explaining your purpose for obtaining an advanced degree from Gardner-Webb University.

Gardner-Webb University strictly limits enrollment in each program to 12 students and accepts reservations on a first-come, first-served basis.
