For over 20 years, the K-12 Teachers Alliance (KTA) has served as the premier national resource for educators seeking advanced degrees and certifications.

Our mission is simple: to help teachers find the high-quality graduate programs they need at a price they can afford. To date, we have helped over 200,000 educators navigate their professional development journeys by partnering with more than 50 universities across the United States.

A Proven Track Record of Excellence

KTA has a long-standing history of supporting teachers through dedicated university partnerships. Currently, we operate successful programs in Illinois, Minnesota, Indiana, Ohio, California, Nebraska, Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, and Connecticut. In each of these states, we work closely with a select university provider to deliver impactful educational opportunities.

What KTA Is Doing in Florida

In Florida, we are evolving our model to better serve the unique needs of the Sunshine State’s educators. Unlike our single-university approach in other regions, our Florida initiative focuses on collaborating with a wide network of high-quality, Alliance-approved universities.

By working with multiple institutions simultaneously, we can ensure that Florida teachers have access to the most diverse range of programs possible, all while maintaining our strict standards for affordability, accessibility, and academic excellence.

The Power of the Alliance Cohort

Our process is designed to save you time and money. We work directly with school districts and individual educators to identify specific needs. Once we identify a group of 20 or more teachers seeking the same program—an Alliance Cohort—we leverage the collective strength of that group to secure:

  • Tuition Discounts: Making your degree more affordable.

  • Optimal Formats: Finding the online or hybrid schedules that fit a teacher’s busy life.

  • Fast Completion Times: Streamlining the path to graduation.

Our Selection Criteria

Not every program makes the cut. To become an Alliance-approved provider in Florida, universities must meet rigorous standards, including:

  • Florida DOE Approval
  • Full SACS Accreditation
  • High Student Success Rates and State Cert Exam Scores
  • Competitive Tuition Rates and Discounts Available
  • Proven Popularity and Reliability among local Florida teachers

A Free Resource for Educators

This invaluable service is, and always has been, completely free for K-12 administrators and teachers. We do the research, handle the university outreach, and streamline the process so you can focus on what matters most: your students and your career.
