The Master of Education in Coaching and Sports Administration, a 16-month program has been revised to focus on the practical knowledge in the academic discipline of coaching and athletics administration. In addition to the core of courses in ethics and leadership, research, law and finance, the specialization now offers a sport specific practicum expertise in coaching and administration.
This degree is designed for individuals seeking further athletic coaching knowledge and for currently licensed teachers looking to renew licensure. It’s available in a blended format with face-to-face class meetings or an entirely online format.
This program is for present coaches or individuals with athletic experience looking to assume responsibilities in their future or present employment as coaching assistants, coaches, or working with athletes of any age. This program will provide significant influence in a field that requires coaches to be able to administer, teach, support, and create programs for athletes that adhere to the National Standards for Sport Coaches, established and published by the National Association for Sport and Physical Education.
This program prepares participants to develop and implement a vision for the important role that an athletic leader can play in the school and in the lives of young athletes.
