The Master of Science in Applied Behavioral Analysis is for professionals seeking comprehensive training in assessing and treating behavioral, communication, developmental, and learning disorders/disabilities.
What You Learn
Courses consist of explicit instruction in behavior analysis, including research design, behavioral measurement, assessment and treatment of behavior, ethical practice and supervision, and 6-credit hours of supervision obtained either from program faculty through a course or in the community at no expense. Through coursework, supervised fieldwork, and a capstone research project, graduates are prepared for numerous professional paths including direct clinical care, school-based intervention, and doctoral studies.
For those students interested in becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, our MSABA program meets the academic coursework requirements for certification in behavior analysis through the Behavior Analysis Certification Board.*
How You Learn
Courses are offered in a combination 8-week and 15-week formats, are available in person or fully online, and are designed to accommodate working professionals. You’ll complete 36 hours of classroom instruction and 6 required fieldwork hours.

Note:
*BCBA certification requires the following:
- A graduate degree whose curriculum meets the Verified Course Sequence. This can be achieved through the Mount’s MSABA or certificate programs.
- 1500 to 2000 hours supervised fieldwork. The Mount MSABA program can support students obtaining the required supervised fieldwork; however, completion of all field work at time of graduation is not required, and hours can be completed following conferral of the MSABA degree.
- Pass the BCBA exam – In addition to the BCBA credential, some states have additional state licensure requirements. For the state of MD, obtaining the BCBA credential will permit one to apply for state licensure.
