For
Teacher candidates who are not previously certified and wish to earn a Master’s degree as well as initial certification in TESOL PK-12 Education. Requirements include: 6 credits in: English (Lit, Analysis, Writing) 3 credits in each subject area: History/Social Science, Mathematics & Science and 12 credits in World Languages.
Students must complete the field requirements, including student teaching, as per NYS Certification requirements.
Teacher candidates who are not native speakers of English and who wish to pursue TESOL certification: A minimum grade of 600 on the TOEFL is required before beginning this Program

Candidates with this degree and certification will be able to teach English to speakers of other languages in grades PK-12 in New York State.
