Those looking to earn their Master’s in Literacy and become a reading teacher and earn their (WI DPI #1316) or looking to become a reading specialist and earn their (WI DPI # 5017) licensure. Build your skills and expertise to effectively implement and manage literacy programs for K-12 students. This program is designed for licensed educators that are interested in developing and improving comprehensive reading skills to give them future success in career and life. The Reading Teacher Licensure #1316 can be pursued on its own.
Candidates are required to hold (or eligible to hold) a current Tier II or higher WI Professional Educators License.

Career Outcomes
Upon completion of the program, you will earn your Master’s of Science in Education-Literacy degree and become eligible for licensure as a Reading Teacher (DPI #1316) and / or Reading Specialist (DPI #5017).
- Reading Teacher: Work directly with K-12 students, guiding them through their reading goals and supporting their literacy development.
- Reading Specialist: Step into an administrative role, leading and coaching fellow educators to enhance literacy programs and curriculums within schools.
