Program Details for LPC
Upon completion of School Counselor coursework, students can take additional courses to become eligible to take the National Counseling Exam to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). LPC is another counseling credential that allows for community work, clinical services, and private practice.
This program equips students to expand their professional counseling experience from the clinical environment to working in or owning their own private practice.

Students who began a school counseling program after August 1st, 2017, may need to complete additional coursework to meet the 60 credit hour threshold required by the licensing board.
