Recently named the number one in the state, Carson-Newman University’s online graduate education program is helping local teachers in East Tennessee further their education and pursue an advanced degree at their own pace.
Full-time educators already have so much on their plate, so the Carson-Newman graduate education program was designed and structured specifically for working teachers. It utilizes a user-friendly, online format, as well as allows students to take one course at a time.
The program also has an abundance of flexibility built into it, allowing teachers to maintain a healthy balance between work, home, and school. In fact, two local teachers and students in Carson-Newman’s online program, Heather and Matthew Mosley, praise the program, remarking that it’s helped them juggle their busy life with three children.
Kim Hawkins, the dean of Carson-Newman’s School of Education and Counseling, echoes a similar sentiment. “Flexibility definitely adds to the success. We’ve had a lot of positive feedback from students in that regard.”
