How You Learn
This 30-credit, fully online program can be completed in two years through a flexible asynchronous format designed for working teachers. Grounded in the nationally recognized Science of Reading, the program prepares educators to address the reading achievement gap, support diverse learners, and implement evidence-based instructional practices. Guided by highly qualified professors and a commitment to ethical leadership and service, graduates are prepared to become literacy leaders in schools, communities, and ministry settings.

At the conclusion of our online Reading Science certification, you’ll be prepared to take the Praxis 5205 (Teaching Reading: Elementary) exam.
Upon completion of the first full year of courses, students will qualify to sit for the CALP (Certified Academic Language Practitioner) exam, a nationally recognized Dyslexia certification. This certification is often used for educators interested in leadership in their schools, and for venturing out into consulting and private practice for dyslexia intervention.
