Our fully online Curriculum & Instruction concentration is designed to develop the skills necessary for classroom teachers who wish to become a Teacher Leader.
What You Learn
- Demonstrate effective leadership and facilitation skills through the integration of theory, professional practice, and applied research.
- Demonstrate knowledge in the theoretical concepts describing human learning and motivations and their application to lesson design, instruction, evaluation and assessment.
- Evaluate and analyze quantitative and qualitative research and student data.
- Demonstrate knowledge of effective instructional strategies and curriculum planning with an emphasis on the areas of differentiation and cultural responsiveness.
How You Learn
All courses are offered in a fully online, asynchronous format. Classes are taught by both full-time faculty and adjunct professors over 8 week period. Students can take courses in any particular order except for ED 689 Educational Research. This class may require online synchronous weekly meetings and should be taken as close to the end of your program as possible-typically the last spring semester.
